About Me

Joe is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has played piano since age 6 and in club bands since he was 15. A graduate of West Philadelphia Catholic High School and St. Joseph's University, he majored in Information Technology and minored in Music Composition. From 1982 - 1990 Joe played in many rock bands in the Philadelphia area including First Class, Topaz, Three Way Street, and No Offense where he played saxophone, and keyboards. He wrote/co-wrote original material for the band and played at clubs in the Philly area including the Red Garter, Pulsations, and the 23 East Caberet. During this time, Joe also played alto saxophone for two Philadelphia String Bands: The Greater Overbrook String Band, and The Woodland String Band. From 1990-1994, Joe joined in country/rockabilly bands in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He played in such bands as Stretch Limo, Silver Rain, and Tempted. He also joined forces with Tess Tyler (Texan singer/songwriter) to co-write many country songs in an attempt to make it into the Nashville scene where they were unfortunately not as successful as they would have liked. Joe moved from Dallas to the Twin Cities in the early months of 1994.Today, Joe can be found singing and performing with his local Twin Cities cover band, The Tone Cats (who has been playing with since 1999), singing with his local church choir, as well as recording and producing his own original material. His "day" job is an IT/Technology Director for a large hospital in the Twin Cities.
