In a town where it seems like everyone is out to become famous, Mike Bauer is unique, not only because of his intoxicating voice, but because he didn’t come here to be famous. Drawing from a rich and diverse musical background, Mike Bauer burst onto the Los Angeles scene in mid 2005, with little more than his guitar and a humble spirit.
“I made a decision that if I was going to fully learn my craft, and develop as an artist, I needed to be in a place that could allow me to do so. I wanted to surround myself with the music I had come to admire so much.â€
Hailing from a small mountain town in Colorado, Mike’s larger than life talent and personality led him to Los Angeles where he is currently playing the club and coffeehouse circuit. With his guitar backing his powerful and soulful voice, Mike continues to win over fans at an uncanny rate.
“I can’t remember a day in my life when I didn’t sing,†Mike says. “And it was completely out of boredom that I ever even picked up a guitar, but now it’s like my second voice.â€
Mike’s dynamic vocal range combines with his love for Jazz and R&B to help him create a refreshing sound derivative of the sultry crooners of yesteryear. Taking time to focus on the poignant nature of relationships whether they are rooted in friend, family or lover, Mike appeals to his listeners to ask questions as opposed to providing them the answers.
