About Me
An impressive background and a promising future combine to deliver a very exciting fighter. Chris Perez-Van Dam, barely 21 years old, has amassed an overall 58-7 record (145lb and 155lb), with a great percentage of wins coming via knockout. Known in the fight game as "The Religion", Chris's walk to the cage began with extensive training at age 17, quickly taking as many amateur fights as he could once he turned 18. Since then, he has earned a 4-4 pro record, fighting before thousands of people, on television, and earning a coveted Fight of the Night Award in one recent promotion.Mature beyond his years, he has accomplished much in his life, including successful performances throughout school in wrestling, football, and baseball. Additionally, his close knit family includes a legacy in boxing, where he continues to receive personal guidance with those skills. Based in Des Moines, IA, he is surrounded by an impressive group of trainers and contemporaries as he trains twice a day, in multiple disciplines, and in different gyms.A remarkably strong stand-up fighter, he is considered an aggressor, perhaps even a predator, and is renowned for his cat like reflexes. Few fighters generate the type of excitement prior to the starting bell as positive energy exudes from his every pore.Committed to continuing his fight career as long as his body will allow, the only way would appear to be up for Chris, given his work ethic, confidence, and the dedication instilled in this young fighter. "I fight for my family, my faith, and for my future. Those are the things that are absolutely most important to me. I am fortunate to have been blessed with a talent that can be used for good purposes", professed a grateful Perez-Van Dam.Chris has built an incredible fan base already and is committed to repay those that were there for him first. At the same time, he knows that base will continue to expand and fuel his personal growth as he works towards his ultimate goals.
