My name's obviously Amanda, I'm happily taken, and I'm from Roanoke, Virginia (and can't wait to get the hell outta this place!). I'm 19, which I guess is cool, however I'm counting down the days til I can legally buy alcohol lol. I went to Patrick Henry High and Gov. School but I finished early since I had the credits to do so (woo hoo!). I plan on taking a medical-related course in college sometime, but I'm having a hard time deciding...radiography, surgical tech, and nursing specializing in neuroscience are what I'm debating on.
I suck at keeping on topic, and those survey things give me a headache, so how about a list?
For starters, I love my job.
Secondly, I didn't get a Myspace so I could find "friends" from my past. Chances are if we're not friends now, there's a reason why we lost touch.
My biggest pet peeve is when someone makes a promise but doesn't stick to their word. I don't make promises unless I know damn sure I can keep 'em, and I have a very low tollerance for being let down.
I'm a huge UVA fan!
Making plans really isn't my thing because I get frustrated when things don't go according to that plan.
I pay attention to detail when it comes to myself and other people. A silly example, I always have my toenails painted. They feel naked without it. And I think the most annoying thing ever is when a girl has bad looking hands.
I like keeping my life drama-free. I'm a rather mellow person, so I like other mellow, chilled out, drama-free people (sounds like I just described a stoner haha)
I've always found life easier when looking for the positive in most situations. It's not always easy to do, but shit happens to everyone. I try to look at life as a big learning experience.
Speaking of which, another big pet peeve of mine is people who can't let go of the past. As everyone else in this world, I've had my share of ups and downs but you won't hear me whine about them 24/7. This means I don't care about my/your exes, shit that happened years ago, etc. You can't enjoy the present if you're stuck in the past. Learn and move on is my motto.
Trust, honesty, and respect means everything to me. Takes awhile to gain it, but a split second to lose it.
I don't know where'd I'd be without music and stand-up comedy. A good stand-up comedian never fails to make me laugh. And music is something that never lets me down. No matter how I'm feeling, there's always gonna be a song out there that I can relate to. And as for my taste in music...I like everything. And I mean everything. From rock, country, and rap....to classical and heavy metal...I dig it.
Deep down inside, I'm a huge nerd. Math has always been "my thing" (I once had a drunken thought of getting the symbol for Pi tattooed on my back LOL), I don't mind picking up a good book now and then, and I know too many things about computers that I probably shouldn't know.
I love art. If I didn't have shit to pay, I'd quit work and spend every day drawing/painting and be a bum.
Anything medical-related highly fascinates me.
I like video games, but I'm not as into them as I used to be. I'm up for all kinds though. Kid games, violent "I can't put this game down until I blow up your face and watch you bleed to death MWAHAHA" games, racing games, etc.
Thanks to my favorite dude-pal Cody (who drinks crack from a bottle but we won't go into that), my current addictions are Monster energy drinks and Starbucks coffee. Oh yeah, and late night discussions while driving around "The Loop" lol. And lets not forget about the time we saw Mike Jones in Lynchburg...
Steven says I sound like a dweeber. Given the fact I don't know what a dweeber is or what one sounds like, he didn't mean it as an insult because he's such a lovely person. I mean just look at his myspace, he took a picture with his kitty. edit: only now he's being all anti-myspace since he MOVED!!
Kelly "Kelzy" Renee is the other half to my mexican side (neither one of us is even slightly hispanic. you'll only get the joke if you're cool enough). She also informs me about upcoming concerts, sexy cars, and hot famous men. She'd make a perfect boyfriend ;)
Titus Ashton Doyle has the coolest name EVER. That's why I call him "Titties". Who loves titties? =D lol
