About Me

This is a page for my Banjo playing; it was originally a page for a fictional character of mine, Eldon Bird. I write appalachian and victorian horror stories, and Eldon is one of my favorite characters.Eldon Bird was born in 1888 in a long-gone town in East Tennessee called Wardel, and both of his parents were fiddlers and preachers of the good book. He and his life-long sweetheart and fiddle-playing wife, Hester Tatum travelled all about the Appalachian mountains preaching the word, playing dances and such, and hunting down all the dark-hearted critters that keep to the dark hollers and old places. "Hester had a knack fer smellin' out a Demon," said long-time friend and guitar player Odysseus "Heck" Legion,"and Eldon had the knack fer killin' em."It was said that Eldon was the downfall of the witch-man Esau Paraside and the Demon-hog he was supposed to have consorted with.Eldon lived to be 107 years old. He played Banjo and Mandolin and killed demons all his days...>
