John Small:
You may have seen John playing with several groups around Virginia as well as all over the United States & Canada while performing as touring/recording bassist from 1995-2004 with The Pat Mcgee Band (Warner Bros./Giant Records). Prior to playing with PMB, John toured & recorded with singer/songwriter Kyle Davis (Sony) who had regional radio success and toured throughout the Mid-Atlantic states.
There were many bands prior to these that John enjoyed performing with, in and around the region. Groovestone, The Randy Perkins Project, No Small Feet, Surrender Dorothy & Atlas Shrugged, just to name a few.
More recently he has been seen playing with the trio Jackson, Small & Strawbridge around the Richmond, VA area. John has also performed on many studio projects ranging from album projects to commercial film...His influences range from Weather Report to the Police and everything else that's been listened to since childhood. He is now enjoying playing in The Chemists and looks forward to making people aware of what they're up to as they build their following of loyal supporters.
John uses Eden & Ampeg amplification. Fender, Warwick, Modulus & Music Man basses.
Brian Mahne:
You can see Brian playing the electric piano around Richmond with Bungalo6, The DJ Williams Projekt, The Big Payback and the Soul Army. His influence comes all the way from Cecil Taylor to Jimmy Smith. You will see him perform with The Chemists on a Fender Rhodes and Roland Keyboards.
Forrest Young:
For the past seven years, Forrest has enjoyed part-time gigs as a pianist and percussionist with The Richmond Ballet and The Virginia Commonwealth University's Modern Dance Department . He has composed music for their performances and incorporates improvisation into every class he accompanies. Since the early 90's, Forrest has drummed in many other diverse musical projects:

Forrest uses a Yamaha Studio Custom solid-oak drum set, Sabian and Zildjian cymbals, and Vator sticks (mostly).
