About Me

Assembly Required is a Kinston/Greenville, NC Rock Band that can cover over 30 rock bands as well as adding their own original music to their sets (which they are currently in the studio recording) bringing an entertainment experience that pleases any true rock fan. They’ve played in shows and events along with such National acts as: 40oz. To Freedom (Sublime Tribute), Appetite for Destruction (GNR Tribute), Behind the Sun (RHCP Tribute), Chevelle, Cracker, Decyfer Down, Flyleaf, Fuel, Parmalee, Roots of Creation, The Return (Beatles Tribute), Tuesday's Gone w/ Jimmy Van Zandt (Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute and previous singer), and Whild Peach (Outcast’s Backing Band). This band is sure to please...but 200+ shows in over 40 Clubs/Events/Festivals/Venues in the past 4 years would be the best example of this NC Rock Band's drive to bring powerful originals and fun covers to keep the party going!

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Robbie Johnson - Lead vocals/Rhythm Guitar...Who draws from such influences as Jon Foreman(Switchfoot), Kurt Cobain(Nirvana), Gavin Rossdale(Bush), Brett Scallions(Fuel), Ben Burnley(Breaking Benjamin), Pete Loeffler(Chevelle), Jeff Buckley, John Mayer, Boys 2 Men, Lifehouse, Jimmy Eat World, Sum 41, Oasis, Collective Soul, Everclear, Vertical Horizon, Green Day, Anberlin, and last but not least his mother Anne Johnson

Greg Pollard - Lead Guitar/back-up vocals...STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN, Kirk Hammett(Metallica), John Mayer, Jimmi Hendrix, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Rush, Rage Against Machine, Maroon 5, David Gilmore(Pink Floyd), Eddie Van Halen, and Dr. Hodges

David Huffman - Bass/back-up vocals... The best thing about being the bass player is you can pick your nose on stage and nobody notices until you flick it on the guitarist.

Shawn Pierce - Drums...Shawn has many drumming influences, but the best one would have to be himself...he loves to play drums more than anyone I've ever known and that passion has kept him with us over the years.

Sarah Sydow - Drums...Sarah has been a friend of the band's for years now and has been filling in on the drums with us sometimes at live shows or in the studio. She also has a side solo project in the making.

Influences: This is a Live Performance of our original song "Mercury" from the dirty south fest held in Kinston, NC. We would like to thank the crew at Stwrongtone Media for a job well done! Check them out at: www.myspace.com/livemusicvideos
