My daughter is attending college in Redding but is soon coming to Chico! (CSU!) I'm an intelligent woman who likes stimulating conversation and a good laugh. I hate drama, liars, cheaters and have very low tolerance for ignorant individuals .. that includes George W. Bush. I don't go out to bars or nightclubs much .. but when I do, I know how to have fun! I have a great desire to write .. big stories or small .. I try to do it often and feel like I am talented in this area with much more awaiting to be discovered from within myself. I read a lot; fiction, non-fiction, medical books and the like. I'm always trying to learn more. I'm into paranormal stuff too .. I find it very interesting and have had a few personal experiences in my life that are creepy and hard to explain! I'm a history buff, but more so on a local level. I like being outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking, boating, biking, exploring (espeically caves and old ghost towns!), water sports .. just being "one with nature". I tear it up on karaoke nights and love being on stage! Yes .. I guess I'm a ham! I have a good voice and love to sing. Family and friends are very important to me and are a big part of my life. I love hanging out and having a good time with those closest to me. I'm a sports lover .. Football (if you haven't guessed my team then I think you have a problem), boxing, hockey, soccer, baseball (not on t.v!) .. Depending on my mood, my music style changes .. I like all types of music. Rock from the 60's and 70's .. 80's punk .. Country .. And I sing to elevator music ...

Movies:

Crash! What a great friggen movie.. go out and rent it! Also checked out a movie called the Green Butcher .. Subtitled but very funny .. I like offbeat movies and that was one of them :-) Saw Fun w/Dick & Jane .. (yawn) .. Dark Water .. (yawn) .. Family Stone .. cute .. Just Like Heaven .. too mushy! In Her Shoes .. I liked it .. I like lots of movies .. Gone With the Wind .. classic .. I like comedies and scary movies .. Mysteries and suspence .. Not real big on actions .. you know the kind - lots of guns and things getting blown up by nake women with large teets .. Not my kind of flick ..

Television:

I don't watch too much t.v but when I do, I like watching - SCURBS! Larry King .. CNN .. and Comedy Central (Steven Colbert, i love you) .. Plus Will and Grace and Southpark... I like just about anything on the Discovery Channel and the History Channel .. I like medical shows, Trauma: Life in the ER, Medical Discoveries, etc etc .. .. I like shows about ghosts and the supernatural. (to the TAPS guys - you're ALL friggen hotties). Once in a while, I'll watch Powerpuff Girls, Dexters Laboratory, Samuri Jack, Ed-Edd & Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog and the old Looney Tunes with my boys. A kid at heart ;o)

Books:

I like non fiction books and have a lot of books on science and medical referrence books. I enjoy gaining knowledge through reading :-) Annnnd .. I'm a sucker for a good romance novel .. Jude Deveraux is my favorite .. She has a historical twist to most of her books that are fun.

Heroes:

My Mom .. She taught me about life .. trust and honesty .. loyalty .. the importance of family and friends .. The value of self worth, setting goals and reaching them .. staying true to yourself .. etc and all that crap ;-) love ya mom!
