About Me

Sue Bundrick and John 'Rabbit' Bundrick
This profile page is a tribute to my beautiful Mother, Sue Bundrick, who sadly passed away on Monday 9th April 2007...She will be forever in our hearts. This is her place, her music, her life. This amazing spiritual woman who taught us all so much about peace and about love. The songs here are just a glimpse of the beauty inside her heart, some are old songs...some are more recent, but all should be heard and celebrated as the work of a very special soul, a lady who revered all living creatures, protector to animals, and true friend to so many people.May you now find peace with the angels, Mum-we miss you so much
Sue Bundrick - Beloved wife, mother, teacher, friend, spiritual guide and healer.
We little knew that morning that God Was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone; For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, Your love is still our guide; And though we cannot see you, You are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same; But as God calls us, one by one, The Chain will link again.
What shall I do with all the days and hours That must be counted ere I see thy face? How shall I charm the interval that lowers Between this time and that sweet time of grace?

Sue was dedicated to helping animals, and she loved, nurtured rescued and fought for animals all her life.As you know, I set up Last Angel Equine Defence as a dedication to my Mum. I did this while she was well and still with us.
Now she is gone, and I need help more than ever, to raise funds so that I can rent the land we so desperately need to establish Last Angel Horse and Pony Sanctuary.... So many horses and ponies are in need, abused, unwanted, taken to auction to be sold to slaughter.
I have always been determined to do this, but with my Mum gone, I am now even more determined to achieve this goal in her memory.
We rehome horses to foster homes and forever homes in the UK, but we STILL do not have the land we need....
For the horses, please help!
Please make a donation, it doesn't matter how little, whatever you can afford would be so greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much

For Sue, with all my love, your son-in-law, Anthony xxx
You were there when I was born-waiting, not knowing, yet somehow approaching;growing love to share.
A deep true heart lies there.
So when we met I could see, one I'd missed eternally,
and was joyful in your company.
Mother, mentor, healer and friend, your given time with us has ended and I miss those understanding eyes, your presence I still recognise.
Thank you for your true example, your higher aims, may I too live quiet and simple.
A soft voice among so much shouting: I'm still listening, still understanding.
Your gift to us is so complete, but cut so short, felt so deep.
Thank you for choosing me to live in your family and by your fine endeavour, more than ever, you keep us together.

Influences: Some of these recordings are old and therefore have some hiss, but my mum's sweet heart still shines through with her beautiful voice..Our family are doing our best to improved the quality of the recordings-please check back for updates!
Music Sue likes: James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Joby Talbot, Choral music, classical music, John Williams - she loved Cavatina by Stanley Myers, played by John Williams, Clifford T. Ward, Carly Simon, Doris Day, Peggy Lee

Mother Earth:
My Mum wrote this song in the 1970s whilst we were living in California. She wrote the whole song, one morning whilst she was sitting in the garden. She didn't even have a guitar or piano with her. The song, she said, was 'given to her'. I believe very much that she was right about songs being 'given to us'

It's Alright Now:
Mum's amazing view of life and her love shines in this sweet song.

California:
My mum wrote this song before our family went to live in California, she wrote it about a friend who went to live there from the UK, who she missed very much. This song enjoyed success when it was covered and released by Manfred Mann's Earth Band

Sweet Sorrow (Highland Song)
This is an instrumental piece, written in the 1990s. Such a precious soul could only write such heartfelt and peaceful music

There are many other songs that Sue has written, I only have room for four here, but I will change them over time, and add others composed by her.

Sounds Like: Heaven

She Goes On written by Neil Finn (Crowded House)

Pretty soon you'll be able to remember her
lying in the garden singing
right where she'll always be
the door is always open
This is the place that I loved her
and these are the friends that she had
long may the mountain ring
to the sound of her laughter
and she goes on and on
In her soft wind I will whisper
in her warm sun I will glisten
till we see her once again
in a world without end
We owe it all to Frank Sinatra
The song was playing as she walked into the room
after the long weekend
they were a lifetime together
appearing in the eyes of children
in the clear blue mountain view
colouring in the sky
and painting ladders to heaven
and she goes on and on
In her soft wind I will whisper
in her warm sun I will glisten
and I always will remember
in a world without end

This video clip is from one of Sue's favourite films-Calamity Jane

There's a funny story that used to make Sue laugh so much about what happened when my husband, Anthony - Sue's son in law - watched Calamity Jane for the first time. He started off by saying 'What's this load of old crap?' and then within half an hour, he was starry eyed, and, upon seeing Doris Day's transformation into a 'lady', when she appeared in her dress, Anthony said 'Ohhhh! doesn't she look nice!' I'll never forget how much that made you laugh mum xx
