Here's a kind of introduction to my band SayThursday. Here's my BIO thingy "Im kinda into science and music Took up the guitar, got a job at UNI Zoology in 1981,studied part time,got pissed a bit,fell in love a bit,went to a few anti nuclear demos a bit ,fell out of love a bit ,did some "stuff" with Crowded House for a bit ,went travelling on a one way ticket to Europe visiting my parents relatives ( which I suppose makes them my rellies as well),Zigzagged my way to Londen,run out of money,got some work as a roadie with The Grateful Dead,then The Pixies(I think at this point things started to get a bit wild)made enough to get back home via Island hopping around Indonesia,Began managing a band in 1991 called The Warner Brothers(ha ha , they actually played country rock) Got threatened by Bugs Bunny himself as things actually started to happen on the music scene for them here,we even went on tour with Michelle Shocked ,I joined a Music Touring company as a driver ,ended up driving the likes of Bon Jovi and Depeche Mode around for their whole tour down here,tried to manage another band called The Philosophers Stone pre Harry Potter days but they became unmanagable, worked with another band from 1994 called Moler (Kinda indie pop/punk,thats where I got the nickname Swampy) )Supported the likes of Everclear, Weezer, ASH ,Lime Spiders, Cosmic Psychos and heaps more over a rollercoaster ride with the Record Company. Helped out producing fanzines,gigs, musicvideos ,cds,and even a doco. Met my gorgeous wife on the road in 1996(she even has ABBA's and Split Enz autographs and we both even went to the opening of McDonalds at Elsternwick in 1975,but I didnt know her back then ,and her birthday is the day after mine,wow),we are still together and have a bouncing 7 year old son and a bubblely 4 year old dynamo boy; Toured with bands around Oz a couple more times, did technical support for Paul Hesters Largest Living Things for a while then went back to the day job in 1998 ,play my guitar, try to write songs and am trying to get some tracks down for an EP , like all things super 8 and playing with my gorgeous family !And thats the short story !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
