drawing from memory is my favorite pastime. i sketch, draw and love to paint with oils and acrylics. other mediums i enjoy on occasion are oil pastels, watercolor, crayons, colored pencil and charcoal. i dabble in small sculptures using fimo clay.
i do custom/commission work when i have free time, which i strive to have more and more of. it's difficult because of work sometimes. however, i do deliver fine results upon request. many satisfied family members, friends and co-workers wear my art on their body (in the flesh!), or have a little something hanging on their walls at home. all my works are and always will be original! if you have a suggestion and are interested in something of this nature, please message me via myspace or e-mail to: [email protected] .
my creativity has been coaxed along by the ongoing intrigue and fascination associated with the image of virtuous femininity, which stems from an actually genderless view of the world i've been observing for most of my life. call me inexperienced, but ignorance is bliss in that respect - if it "looks" female, then it is, and isn't it beautiful and inspiring? men and women, or any intelligent life for that matter, identifying with the ultra-femme appearance have undoubtedly been prime catalyst and inspiration to my artwork. sexual revolutionists are my subjects. notably, refractory historical and mythological figures, turn of the century silent actresses and transgender film starlets of the late 60's and early 70's have left their unparalleled impressions upon me. many pieces of art are completed in full dedication to them, in theme or portrait.
many people ask me where i trained as an artist. where i once learned arithmetic and english, it was considered disobedient to draw during class and got me into a lot of trouble which only resulted in a foul attitude toward institutionalized hogwash. thus, my ability has no academic ties and resides solely with emotional factor, free time and personal interest. the self-taught approach is a strenuous mechanism, yet the results unfold seamlessly in the long-run. if you can't afford a teacher, simply observe the world around you (or the universe and parallel dimensions, etc.) with proper time and self-discipline, what aren't we capable of, here?
i come from a very musically talented and creative family, so i can't really say i am following in anyone's footsteps with my chosen mediums. although, the compositions of YOSHITAKA AMANO had a strong influence upon me as a youngster. later, i came to discover that he is self-taught and thriving as a very respected and internationally well-known artist. many thanks to all my friends, family and especially musical influences past and present that have supported my creative outbursts since 1810.
