About Me



Bernhard (Berny) Widmann is an actor and musician from Bavaria/Germany. He has been learning to play several instruments since he was 5 years old. He had lessons in playing the accordion, the piano, the horn, singing and music-theory.

In 2003 he founded the melodic/opera metal band Discordia together with his friend, songwriter and guitarist Joschka Altschäffl (666derliebegott). Since the year of foundation he has been one of the two masterminds and songwriters of the band.
At the moment Discordia are:
Bernhard (Berny) Widmann (Keyboards, Songwriting, Vocals, Spoken, Grunts)
Joschka (Gott) Altschäffl (Guitars, Songwriting, Vocals, Producing)
Daniel (Jack) Waidner (Guitars)
Antonia Niesig (Violine)
Veronika Hintzen (Vocals)

Bernhard Widmann can’t only be heard! Since 2005 he works as an actor and appeared in several high-class-theatre-productions next to famous German and international actors.

Influences: As a musician and songwriter Berny is mainly influenced by Metal-bands like Nightwish, Epica, Tristania and so on. But also classical music, especially Beethoven is a big influence. Above all his music is very individual and can’t be compared with the music inspiring him.
Sounds Like: hm....it sounds like.....I-will-be-famous-and-rich-very-soon ;-)
