Rodrigo Abelha

Rodrigo Braga (Abelha) has been playing drums for more than 15 years. He was born in 82 in São Paulo and started to study drum at the age of 11. He had studied drums at U.L.M (Free University of Music) and percussion at E.M.M (Municipal School of Music) both in SP. As a drummer he has been playing many styles of music, from jazz combos to rock-metal bands. In 2005 with his group “Zambé (Brazilian-jazz) he had got 1st place of 1st MPB festivals from U.L.M. He had played in a few internationals jazz festival such as; Punta del Este-Uruguay, Santiago- Chile. In 2009 he stayed a season in London-UK. Where he played with Iris Lacava (Brazilian singer) and Busking with Luca Orsini (Italian Bass player) and Wagner Montes (Brazilian Guitar player). In London he studied music production at Point Blank. Now a days He is playing with a legendary band from São Paulo “ Anjo dos Becos” (RockSkaFunk), “Suíte12Boulevard”(Instrumental-Live Electronics) and NacionarquiA (Politic Metal). He had got performed with: O Surto, Andrea Marquee, Pat Escobar, Iris Lacava (London), Fabio Leandro, Rogério Botter Maio, Edu Marron, Big Band ULM, Gabriéla Gonzales, Marcus Almeida Trio, Grupo Zambé, Banda Kashmir, 1A+, Hidrogênio Experimental, Dapulli, Cale Narman._____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________Rodrigo Braga (Abelha) é baterista a mais 15 anos, atua no cenário paulistano trabalhando com diversos estilos musicais, desde bandas de rock a orquestras de música erudita. Estudou bateria na ULM e percussão erudita na E.M.M. (Escola Municipal de Música). Em 2005 ganhou junto com grupo Zambé o 1º festival de MPB da ULM. Teve atuações internacionais: Com a Banda Kashmir em Punta Del Este (Uruguai) 2006, Com Cale Narman no “ festival de jazz de San Miguel” em Santiago (Chile) 2008 e Iris Lacava, Luca Orsini e Wagner Montes em Londrês. Atualmente está tocando com a lendária banda paulistana Anjo dos Becos, e com seu projetos: Suíte12Boulevard (Instrumental-eletrônico) e NacionarquiA (War Metal). Abelha também ataca de vibrafonista e Produtor( Point-Blank -London) em seu estúdio o “Colmeia-Central”.
