Me... I am different. I'm not your average person, especially not your average American. If you just saw me walking down the street you most likely would not realize this. The only people who really understand this are the people who have taken the time to get to know me. I guess I kinda just look at the world a little differently than the average American. This was actually not so unusual when I was in California, as it seems like some people are a bit more open minded there. Or maybe it was just because I lived there longer and had more time to find people who I connected with.Anyways, I am a jack-of-all-trades, but a master of none. I have a ton of hobbies and I never find time to do them all. I have a ton of books I want to read but I never seme to find the time. Sometimes there are never enough hours in the day and sometimes the days can never get over fast enough.I used to think I didn't want to live in America, then I had to opportunity to visit many other countries and even lived in a couple and I realized how ignorant that opinion I once held was. I realized there were many things I was taking for granted... Now that I have a better perspective on the world I don't know what I want... Some of the things I have seen happen in this country make me ashamed of where I am from... (At times when i was in other countries I would use an Australian or British accent to try and hide where I am from) But then again, many of the things I have seen happen in other countries have torn my heart out as well...Now don't get me wrong, I have spoke up and defended America and Americans many times in my travels. When I see someone talking negatively about Americans or America, the first thing I ask them is if they have ever been to America. And you know it's a little ironic that most of them say that they have not. Then I ask them how they can judge something if they have never experienced it themselves. They usually respond with something about the news or the media and I begin to explain to them how that is basically hearsay... So, as you can see I try to look at things from both sides.Sometimes I think we as an entire human race are doomed. But then something simple and pure will happen and it will remind me that there is still hope...I know nobody cares what I think, but can't we all just cut out the bullshit, PLEASE?!?
