Hailing from the Limestone City, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. SOCIETY'S SORROW is a 4-piece metal outfit intent on taking prisoners. With their hard-hitting, metal fist punching songs, impressive energetic live performances, they are giving metal fans an overdose of the music they crave. With core influences such as Metallica, Slayer, Megedath, Pantera, Disturbed & Slipknot, as well as varied other individual influences ranging from 10 years to Iron Maiden. They bring out a very classic thrash metal sound.
We were formed in the spring of 2007 by rhythm guitarist, Duane Hudson. After attempts to start a band with other musicians failed, Duane approached Joe to jump on board this yet unnamed project. Joe agreed to join and take on bass/vocal duties. Next came Jason Andrews in August 2007, who was the recruited addition on lead guitar. The trio hit the Sonic Bakery studio for the first time to start writing material and record preliminary demos. Finally, after several drummer attempts, the quartet was rounded out with Graham Wright as the heartbeat of this new sonic machine.
Since then, SOCIETY'S SORROW, has been working hard both in and out of the studio. From many shows in the Kingston area to working on a full length album, the band has started picking up steam, building a solid, devoted fanbase. They've shared the stage with bands like; ANVIL, JOEY BELLADONNA, BIONIC, C'MON, ARISE AND RUIN, JESUS MULLET, MAN WITH TARGET, & locals FATHOM TIES, KILL MARTYR, MEATHOOK, REVMATIC, CHERUB, FALL TO ASHES, RULING CHRISTOPHER, MELLONHEAD and a few more....
Their debut album is tentatively due out in late summer / fall 2009 and will be a 12 track battering ram to pummel your eardrums and give you extensive neck pain from the excessive headbaning.
