Funkin' since 2000 in Lawrence, Kansas. The Yards were born at z'gwon,th studios Sunday November 5, 2000. One day in the studio...some players met that day. 11 songs in 11 different keys in 11 hours. Funkin' still today in the midwest USA! Sometimes just a trio, sometimes a 7-piece band with full horn section, The Yards mash up jazz and funk with R&B and sweet soul, add some Latin sounds and a stiff shot of gospel's stomping rapture, and then turn ON the HEAT.
