Late 2005 Jowie, Chris & Mackie came up with the idea of starting a band together, and started learning some instruments. A couple months later they got their first rehearsal place at Arena 305 in Malmö, and a punk rocking tune took shape.
In the summer of 2006 they got sick n’ tired of rehearsing only one, fucking bad tune, and considered to quit. Instead of quitting, Mackie went to his cousin Fredrik, a famous "dance band"-singer, who helped the guys out with the music. Still without a singer Sweet Appetite improved their skills n’ developed more tunes than ever before.
At the time of November 2006 a singer named Ben joined the band. After a month together, Sweet Appetite signed up for a local music competition as a first appearance on the rock stage. Just a week before the gig Ben left the band. The winter came, but also a period of spending fewer hours at Arena 305. But one drunken night at a rock club in Malmo called Hellnight, Jowie met a wasted, kickass rocker named John. The guys’ chatted n’ a couple weeks later John rehearsed with the band. But the PA-system was bad, the drums were too loud n’ noisy, and John never made it.Sweet Appetite moved out from arena 305 to a better and more private place named Kajplats down by the docks in Malmö. It sucked not having a singer, so Jowie brought in John again for a second chance, and he rocked the ass off us! The songs were sharp and tight together, and Mackie, Chris and Jowie were convinced. Within a month they’d already made their first performance, and more shows came up.But in the end on July 2007 Mackie and Jowie, as they previously announced, left the band. Mackie, drummer and head songwriter, moved to his loved one in Finland. Jowie, the slacking guitarist headed to Florida for college. There was never a problem, though. Gabby, a kick-ass Fender-bender, and Martin, a skilled drummer, from the upcoming progressive rock band, and close friend to Sweet Appetite, Chains, filled the spots. The new line-up continued with the Sweet Appetite attitude, playing old and writing new tunes. .
