My name is Simon Dobson. I play alot of instruments, some better than others. I have always been a musician. Some say they were classically trained cos they think the media will like them for saying it, I say it because it is true and not a plot to fool the industry. My band bio, would just be my life story, so i'll just say; I was awarded a scholarship to study composition of music at the Royal College of Music in London. In 2002 I was awarded ther European Composer of the Year award, from which I never really recovered. I have written and performed most types of music I can think of for most of the instrument and ensembles I can imagine. People who know me well, will tell you I dont brag about music at all, I just am what I am. I have undertaken numerous commissions to wrtie music for Orchestras, Wind Orchetras and Brass Bands. I have been performed on BBC Radio 3 and in the foremost concert halls around Europe. Having just started writing music at a Mac I thought I should upload some of it. I am the Ghost of Funk, but ghosts are just misplaced energy. x
