Vanessa Solari Espinoza is a Venezuelan-American who
resides in the Bay Area. By night she is DJ/MC AGANA spinning a fusion of politically conscious revolutionary raza music to inspire
the masses. She was a DJ for the KGNU Eclipse hip hop radio show and spins for poetry slams, youth events and fiestas like the XicanaPalooza. By day she is the founder of Fruta Madura an urban
street art inspired clothing line and Joyas Criollas a custom-made
graffiti jewelry line. She studied silversmithing techniques in
Indonesia and at the California College of Arts and Crafts. She has been down with Urban Arts crews such as Royal Crowns, Oaklandish, Visual Element and WOTS crew (wizards of the styles), her goal is to communicate conceptual messages that are
not only visually stimulating but also provoke political messages
of social change. Hip Hop is her first love because It teaches our
community skills through its elements by educating the masses and
bringing us closer together through the common connection of a struggle.
