I am here for Friends

About Me

instanceid=62621581&ver=102906" height="320" width="426"Full-blooded Filipino striving to make it on the big screen... j/k. haha! I wish...! It would definitely be nice to be rich & famous someday. Just turned 24, but boy am I young at heart! My friends would most likely describe me to be a complicated person, lost in the different complexities of life's push-&-pull experiences thus far. Though ironically, i'm one to actually appreciate the simple things in life.Dad's a retired doctor & Mom's a successful businesswoman; GO FIGURE as to why I've become so instrumental in trying to live with such high expectations that have gradually embedded the importance in my being capable & competent to pass down their legacy. My passion is Dance, be it Jazz, Modern, Interpretive or Hip-Hop. It's no secret how I love going to clubs/bars to go dancing then to pig out on some azn food afterwards with friends. I traveled outside the continental United States at least twice a year, & several times more within the different states. I enjoy Literature & am highly addicted to Fashion. Exposing myself to variously diverse cultures allows the enjoyment in learning something new everyday. I am very open-minded, passionate, cultured, family-oriented, traditional, religious, and bubbly but also can be spontaneous at the same time. I like to try different things. I'm easy going. I learn to pick up myself from my screw ups in life. I can get loose and careless of what other folk would say but at the same time I can be an over achiever. I'm very optimistic about things; life is too short to waste.I was born in Manila, Philippines but my whole family immigrated to Guam when I was thirteen. Guam is a small island part of the Micronesia Archipelago near Australia and Papa New Guinea.. Pretty exotic huh? Coming from such a metropolitan area like Manila and moving to a small island was big change. But when I looked back, living in a small island was not bad at all. It made me appreciate the simple things in life.I graduated with honors, Cum-Laude from The University of San Francisco with a degree in Business Administration focus in Real Estate and Development with a minor in Economics. I took a semester off my junior year to try & pursue Landscape Architecture in CAL. After graduation, I found myself living in Manhattan, New York and then later I moved to Brooklyn. There, I had the opportunity to take an internship in Julliard. Currently, I reside in Berkeley, California where I work in the Office of Student Life in UC Berkeley. I am preparing for graduate school to earn my masters in Leadership in Student Affairs and Education.

Music:

Create a playlist with this song on imeem
Mainly, main stream music as long as it has a good beat and sets a good vibe. I'm open to all types of genra from HIp-hop, because i love to dance, classical- when Im studying, rock, but im not hardcore metalic fan to R&B when I feel emo.. nah.. ish cool. I'm not big fan of techno or rave music. But I like to listen to other forms of instrumental compilation.

Television:

I like to keep my tV on all the time, even if im not really watching anything in particular. I would like to be in the REAL WORLD or AMAZING RACE oooh but not FEAR FACTOR cuz that disgusting and way to life threatening for me. Holistically, I like to watch to watch real tv base shows, just whole wide variety of shows from... CSI, E! VH1, MTV2, Doctor 90210, Variety shows, concerts, Oprah, DR.phil, Three six O (360), and a lot of make over shows... hehe

Books:

I liked to switch between 2-3 books to keep my excitement in reading alive. When time permits, I like to read works of fiction in particular, as a way to temporarily escape from reality. Nowadays, I enjoy reading self-help books. "NOW DISCOVER YOUR STRENGTHS" by Marcus Buckingham is a favorite, based on the Gallup Poll statistics. I catch up with my favorite magazines for the scoop on things when waiting in line at the supermarket, like Details, People, Times, US Weekly, W, sports car mags, Interview, Rolling Stone, Vogue, Stuff & Sports Illustrated.

Heroes:

My Dad, a retired doctor & humanitarian. My Mother, a retired medical technologist who's presently a successful entrepreneur businesswoman as the president of her own company. My best friend, Sharon from USF(Nursing); My friend Victor from Stanford(a Human Bio Major, a future Pharmacist); Jennie from UCLA(Econ Major); Jackie from USC(Engineer), Heather from Oxford(Writer), my sister Leonore from UCDavis(Managerial Economics) and my friend Steven(Business) from UCBerkeley. Last but not least, Lester Dulce (Criminal Justice Major) & Monica Montano(Certified Fashionista). They are all hard-working & determined. With the drive teeming with passion & perseverance. They are achievers, risk-takers, intellectual & are very successful in each of their respective roles in life.
