From abused teen run-a-way to Assistant VP for one of the nations largest banks; from kidnap and hostage survivor to sucessful author of Held Hostage: The True Story of a Mother and Daughter's Kidnapping (soon to be a network premier Lifetime movie-May 2009), international motivational speaker and Owner of a media consulting, focus coaching and public relations firm, dreamBIGâ„¢ Consulting. I now take my message to the masses and share my "Live Your dreamBIGâ„¢ Life" success story and started Women Who dreamBIG. I am the Founder of Rock To Stop Violence and The Violent Trauma Awareness Project! I am a member of the Global Peacebuilders Project, National Association of Women Executives, was named Soroptimist International's 2007 Woman of Distinction, and interviewed with Gayle King for a "what would you do/help women stay safe" segment. In 2008 I was honored to be added to the Chicago Children's Hospital Trauma Center Survivor Wall, became a Family Advocate for the National Child Traumatic Stress Network and Children's Hospital Chadwick Center in San Diego, became an MSN Hometown Hero, and will be featured on The Biography Channel and A & E Television.
