Hola a todos.
Esta es la parte en la que escribo algo sobre mi. Me llamo Javier Valdes y puse "javalbass" como el nombre del perfil porque llegue tarde a este cuento del MySpace, parece que ya todo el mundo tiene uno, y yo lo acabo de crear. Como el NICKNAME lo sugiere, la parte de mi que le pertenece a la musica esta inmersa en las frecuencias que emite el bajo electrico, mi instrumento predilecto.
He participado en diversas grabaciones de varios artistas; el primer proyecto en el que participé fué uno que incluía canciones de artistas y compositores locales de Cali, una de las cuales era de autoría de Diana "DEE DEE" Serna (perfil de MySpace aqui ). Luego grabé el bajo en todas las pistas del primer trabajo de Melany Moloney (perfil de MySpace aqui ). He participado en el primer disco de Transporte (perfil de MySpace aqui ), y en otros proyectos aparte, grabando música publicitaria y otras cosas.
En este párrafo quiero expresar mi gratitud a Pipe Bravo , teclista/guitarrista de Superlitio (perfil de MySpace aqui ), a Juan Felipe Bastidas, baterista de Transporte (perfil de MySpace aqui ), y a Patricio Duque, un guitarrista de jazz que ahora toca con artistas muy importantes de la escena del sur de la Florida en Estados Unidos, a Diego Palacios (perfil de MySpace de Independent Music Group, su compañía, aqui ) y a Julio "El Asere" Ramírez (perfil de MySpace aqui ). Pipe, Juan Felipe y Patricio me dieron el "empujón" para volver a la música, Diego me dió la oportunidad de grabar por primera vez en estudios y con artistas profesionales y todos ellos y Julio, me han dado y me siguen brindando la confianza para seguir adelante.

Here I get to write something about me. My name is Javier Valdés y mi profile had to be named "javalbass" because my entrance to the MySpace Universe was late, and that nick was available. As that name suggests, the bass is my favorite instrument, and I prefer playing the electric 5-string bolt-on variety.
I'm relatively new to the business, but in my rather short carrer I have participated in various projects, both live playing and recording sessions; the latter include recordings with Diana "DEE DEE" Serna (MySpace profile here ), the award-winning singer composer - she won the 1st prize in the prestigeous John Lennon songwriting contest - Melany Moloney (MySpace profile here ), and Transporte (MySpace profile here ), which is another award- and accolade winning band from Cali. Recently I've been involved with other sessions as well as jingles and other types of music.
At this point I want to express my gratitude to Pipe Bravo , keyboardist/guitarrist with Superlitio (MySpace profile here ), to Juan Felipe Bastidas, drummer with Transporte (MySpace profile here ), and to Patricio Duque, a very talented Jazz guitarrist, producer/composer/arranger who's now dazzling audiences in the South Florida Jazz scene. These three guys orchestrated my comeback to music. Not only they convinced me to play again after I almost abandoned music nearly a decade ago, but they also encouraged me to buy my instruments and gear, and allowed me to play with them in various projects and situations. I also want to publicly thank Diego Palacios (Independent Music Group -his production company- MySpace profile here ), whose amazing talent and great ear have served many building outstanding musical products, and allowed me to enter the professional recording scene. And last but not least, to Julio "El Asere" Ramírez (MySpace profile here ), whose scary musical gift gets shared with me whenever he's teaching me music theory, transcribing, writing, performing or just jamming. All of them have played a key role in my musical development. Thank you, guys.
