This Mexican-American Hip Hop Recording artist was born and raised in the state of California. Sunny Rose (real name Salvador Rosette) was born in Sacramento Ca. and at the age of 3 he and his family later went on to move down south to Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley, than at the age of 13 he and his family once again moved up to Kern County,Ca (80 miles north of Los Angeles). In 2003 Sunny Rose entered the VH1 Save the Music Contest and placed 14th in a contest with over 10,000 aspiring musicians, “I took that as a huge way of motivating myself, because I found out on that day that I wasn’t the best artist I could possibly be if I was just to stick with what I wanted to do and apply a stronger work ethic i figured sky is the limit, so now I’m just trying to uphold the standards that I’ve set for myself as person first and if that works out music will be the easy part†as Sunny recalls his experience. Since than Sunny Rose has been in works with Black Diamondz Music Group CEO Sleep Deez “I’m real excited to work with Sleep on a project, because I know the possiblity of us coming out with some real dope music is highly likely once we get in the labâ€. His main influences in music are a mixture of artist that were before his time from the likes of : The Isley Brothers, Marvin Gaye, and Al Green as he say's "There is nothing like that classic soul music that i loved so much as a child growing up with my brothers and sisters and if i can just have one fraction of the impact those artist had on the music industry i would die a very happy and wealthy man" (as he states sarcastically with a smile and small but shy laugh).
