THE RAVISHING

In 2005, Commando teamed up with Elvis and Daniel to try and put together a band that would not only play some good ass kicking rock n' roll, but would bring back the threat that WAS rock n' roll during it's heyday on the Sunset Strip. They knew it would be a long road to achieve the sound they wanted, but dedication and persistence brought them to where they stand today. After numerous rehersals without a drummer, they came across an old friend who's mindset and musical skill was a perfect match for the newly developed group. Playing with a heavy influence of thrash and early metal, they decided his style was a unrivaled compliment. Jan officially joined the group in 2006, and from there they set off on a steady schedule of rehersals and writing, to make sure they were at their full potential before their debut. But due to a desire to pursue personal and musical avenues, in early 2008 Jan and Daniel decided to resign in hopes of finding a road that would ultimately lead them to their individual platforms. Still under the radar and waiting for the right moment to hit fifth gear, Commando and Elvis continued writing with hopes that the pieces would soon fall into place. The timing was perfect. Still vicious, rehearsed, and fresh from a departure from his previous band, The Black Rose Phantoms, long time friend, collaborator, and drummer, Scraps L.B.P. found himself all too eager to join the ranks. All that was left was a guitarist. One that understood what The Ravishing were and wanted to become. Jakey Magic answered that question with a single sentence........."It's On!"
