Sono una artigiana del salento...non posso definirmi ricamatrice, non utilizzo l'ago per i miei lavori, ma attrezzi molto particolari come i fuselli, il telaio e la navetta! Sin da piccola abbandonai gli studi commerciali e continuai a studiare nella scuola di taglio, dove approfondii le mie passioni, anche se il tesoro più valoroso non furono le scuole e i corsi seguiti...quanto le anziane signore che da anni sul marciapiede, vicino le loro case realizzano dei capolavori, diffondendo sinfonie per le strade, effetto dei fuselli in movimento. Con grande pazienza, queste Maestre di vita mi hanno dato un'istruzione che va al di là dell'imparare un concetto stampato su un libro. Ora la storia si sta invertendo sono io a fare da Maestra ( o come si dice da queste parti "mescia") a giovani ragazze, anche se ormai tutto si sta per perdere...non c'è più la pazienza di una volta! rimango a disposizione per chiunque volesse informazioni, i modelli dei miei lavori per lavorarli personalmente o magari acquistare i miei lavori, mandatemi un commento o un messaggio privato.

I'm an artisan from Salento (in the south of Italy). I can't define me a embroideress, because I don't use the needle to make my work, but very particular tools, like bobbin, tambour and shuttle! Since I was a little girl, I gave up my commercia study and went on with the cutting school. The treasure more valorous didn't be the schools and courses that I've attended, but the old woman, that work on the pavement near their house. They realize beautiful masterpiece, spreading symphony through the street, with the movement of the bobbins. With the patience of a saint, these leaving theachers give me an instruction beyond a concept printed on a book. Now the story is reversing... I'm the teacher (like it is said in my dialect "mescia") of young girl, even if all is lossing...there isn't the patience of a time!
