Klee Liles

I am a performing musician currently living in Boone, NC. I play acoustic guitar and sing primarily in restaurants and small clubs in NC, SC, Tenn., Va., WVa. and pretty much anywhere willing to pay me to travel. I also play electric bass guitar. 5 string, with or without frets. I have one of each for anyone who calls. I have played with the occasional country band but I prefer pop and jazz. I have a thing for female singer/songwriters like Patty Griffin and Shawn Colvin, but Pat Metheny stays in my head always. I'm also a happy slave to the 4 minute pop song (John Mayer rules!). I don't consider myself the king of low notes but I can play what is required to keep the groove. I'm sort of a big fish in a small pond. I have lived in Nashville and enjoyed it. But in Boone I get to play more AND get paid. Plus it's a much better place to raise my son. So as for family I got married in '98 and my son, Kaden, was born in '03. My wife Carol Lea and I built a house and are still finishing the details.
