Intention yall
Peace, Hotep, Blessings. It's Nia. I could say, or I couldn't. Really, I try to have the things that 'represent' me as reflective as they possibly can be of who I am in the present. So this is being changed just because, and for many reasons thereafter.
I have an ancient and rooted relationship with spoken word First and creatively foremost, I am a poet. Lyricist. My words are mostly political, or culturally stimulated. I don't tired of it either, because I believe that in telling the stories over and over again, it both cleanses your mind and uplifts people with truth.

Who is killing my Nigger Soldier?
Tramping through the plains of Baghdad killing
Mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, old, young,
everyone will die in this legal homocide we
pilage, we burn, and turn to Bush, who calls us out to fight this
War on terrorism, murder rewarded with heroism
but, who's fighting the war on racism?
Tell me Bush
Who's fighting MY war?
Who's going to protect my children from the land of the white man and
Who's going to sacrifice thier life for MY strife?
And who is going to liberate me from you?
how many black men and women will be left dead before the message gets to
Your head, and you give ME troops instead?
How many of my brothers, will deal on the streeets of this unfeeling country?
How many of my sisters will whore themselves before more oppertunity is
shown to them?
but more importantly...
Who is killing my Nigger soldier?
Who fired deception into his brain on the balcony?
Who murdered him 41 times?
Who is crawling into her cradle and breastfeeding her the media?
who is telling the minority to drop everything and fight for the majority?

In truth? Someone who can make me laugh and is caring. Someone who values music as much as I do. Someone who stands for the equality of all people...cannot be close minded. Someone who I can have an actual in depth conversation with. *That would be...magical* Some one who understands my politics and doesn't think of it as "just a hobby". Someone who isn't afraid to love as hard as I do. Someone whon't abuse my trust. Anyone like that? Is it too much to ask for?
