Sweet Jazz Trio

Sweet Jazz Trio (from Stockholm, Sweden) plays soft and melodious mainstream jazz and is considered to be one of the most eminent jazz chamber music groups in Scandinavia. Music with a lot of feeling, profoundly affecting the listeners. SJT play melodious evergreens and own material in totally personal way - a soft blend of the sounds of cornet, guitar and bass. Mellow cornet is played by Lasse Törnqvist, elegant guitar by Mats Larsson and powerful bass by Hans Backenroth - one of the most demanded jazz bass players in Sweden.Sweet Jazz Trio has existed since 1992 and its music has since 1996 been presented on eight CD:s of which three are released exclusively in Japan - I Left My Heart In San Francisco, My Romance och As Time Goes By.The latest CD "As Time Goes By" was released in January 2007 in Japan where SJT's records have become a great success (Sweet Jazz Trio has visited Japan five times).
