NECROCIDE was formed back in late 1999 by founding members Chris Brown(guitar/vocals) and Mark Curley (bass/vocals). Then came the original lead vocalist and second guitarist, Ron Dietz, followed by the drummer, Mark Brice. After practicing relentlessly, they had a full set of "in your face", speed/death metal which, as fans would say, "made one want to beat someone's face in". After playing many local and regional gigs and opening for many national and international acts, the band landed a spot on the Metal Meltdown 3 Festival back in 2001, at the Asbury Park Convention Center in New Jersey. A host of many international and national major labeled acts, Necrocide was one of only a select few unsigned bands chosen from North America. After spending a couple of years in the lineup, Ron had to move because of his job, thus leaving Necrocide as a powerhouse trio, with bassist Mark Curley assuming lead vocal duties, giving the band more of a death metal feel. Mark Curley currently plays in another band, SLED, which is driven by more of an old school punk with some metal mixed in as well. After relentlessly practicing and gigging up until late 2004/early 2005, things started to slow down and some members decided to explore other musical ventures. I am currently in the process of putting together something new myself - Chris -
