I was born in Christchurch New Zealand, and since 2003 I have been living in Sydney Australia. Until now! I am now back in Christchurch. (Sorry Wheelies.)I have been involved in the music industry for the past 23 years.I started learning to play the guitar at the age of 7, and in that time have amassed many accolades
as a Performer, Teacher, Songwriter, Producer, Musical Director & Arranger, and Session Musician. From 1986 to 1998 I used to enter amateur music talent quests and come out in first place from
Tamworth Australia, to Gore in the deep south of New Zealand, and achieved great success as a
Singer and an Instrumentalist.I have played in many working bands and have provided music as a multi-instrumentalist and backup
vocalist for many recording artists since I was 11 and continue to this day, both in New Zealand and
Australia, in the studio and live on stage.Along the way in my career I have been asked many times to be Musical Director for school drama
productions, overseeing and arranging the music performances.I Attended Aranui High School In Christchurch and in my 5th form certificate year, found myself on the
teachers payroll teaching guitar both practical and theory to my fellow students.I was 15 then, and since continued to teach privately from home and just recently finished up as a
teachers aid last year teaching guitar, and provided musical arrangements and productions for the years
11 and 12 students assessments at Holy Spirit College Lakemba in Sydney Australia.Since moving to Australia, our band “Luke O’shea and Medicine Wheel†took out the “Best Bandâ€
Category at the “TIARASâ€, top 5 finalists at the Tamworth Golden Guitar Awards and the MusicOz awards in Sydney.
Our 3rd single “Ragged Bloody Heroes†(Our Anzac Tribute) reached number 1 on the CMC charts in Australia.Stay tuned for a hot new band to come...
