Chateau de la Maladie creates music of a somewhat minimal nature through a process usually involving one layer of improvisation upon another. The results range from fairly straightforward rock songs to convoluted soundscapes.
Lyrics are largely derived from previously written texts which are selected and adapted for use with whatever music is at hand. In this way, we build vague ideas into slightly more tangible ones and try to give meaning to the various coincidences which arise due to our methods.
