I'm American, in my mid-fifties, (should I say it!) feel like 35, cannot stand being over 50, yet glad to be here! I love to write, and knit, I still love to exercise using my ballet training, and I love to do many other things, just like you! I have always lived in the NY metro area, except for 3 years in NH. New Jersey is where I'm from, and if you think it's all smokestacks and bad air, then you don't know Jersey at all. I have two children in their 30's, and my husband, Bob. I can't believe the 60's are so long ago, yet, they seem as if they were yesterday. I wish I had kept in touch with my friends from high school; I keep looking for them and one of these days I'll re-connect. I'm a college grad, and went for a year to post-graduate study.Way back when, I was one of those girls who took dancing lessons, but I stayed with it for 15 years, and had I not met my husband when I did, I probably would have headed on over to the City and auditioned to be a Rockette at Radio City Music Hall. And I would have made it too! I love - love-love to dance, and love all the great music that goes along with that!Back in 2002 my husband and I bought a B&B in New Hampshire, which was a good idea at the time, but we sold the business after 3 yrs, due to it not being all it was hyped up to be, if you know what I mean. It was wonderful being my own boss, and I am actively working toward that end again in 2007. I can tell you, I never worked so hard in my life with that Inn; but it was worth it because it was all ours, and it was a beautiful place. It has led me on to other pathways which I never knew existed, and, I presume, that was the intent all along.Bob & I raised our children, Stephanie & Rob, in Lakewood and Manchester, NJ, not far from Toms River, Seaside, LBI. They are both still down there and Rob is married to Lisa since September of 2006. Our beloved baby girl, Chelsea, died suddenly on March 26, 2008 and we are truly and forever heartbroken. She was the BEST dog in the world!!!!! As of June 21st 2008 we now have little Piper in our lives! She is a smooth Fox Terrier, a sweetheart, and loves us as much as we love her!Right now, I am actively seeking to get my first book "published" on Amazon.com. When it's ready, I will advertise it here, so watch this Space!Be sure to check out my knitting blog, too, at http://www.theknitstitch.blogspot.com for a lot more than just knitting!
