About Me

...don't you look at me...

My Interests

Spending money to feel good, spectating, and trying not to laugh in unfunny situations. Saying "weird shit" to my now ex-girlfriend in order to get her to dump me, such as "hey I wonder sometimes what it would be like if you were my ex-wife, ya know, what it would be like if we like some old divorced couple..."

I'd like to meet:

...I said don't you look at me.

Music:

Semi-annual Beatles kick, also roots reggae and dub kick. I like the new Neko Case album and Miles Davis Bitches Brew, I like the deluxe Pavement reissues and I liked UR's Interstellar Fugitives show. I like all sorts of musics.

Movies:

Scanner Darkly. Strangers with Candy. Flags of our Fathers. I dropped off on the moviegoing, but I saw Flicka as a public service.

Television:

"Creature Feature", Hot Fudge, Ultraman. Johnny Sokko. I suck at t.v. It usually is too liud and gives me a headache in my home, but if I go somwhere else to watch it, I get sucked in and glued to it. Go figure. There's only so much time, really.

Books:

The Nation. People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn. A Distant Mirror by Barbara Tuchman. All sort so yoga, comic & tai chi books. Magazines like Giant Robot, interesting sequential books and not quite as interesting comics. Jim Harrison is continuing the Brown Dog series admirably in "The Summer He Didn't Die", his latest.

Heroes:

Bob Ross. Howard Zinn. Henry Darger. Syd Barrett. Massasoit. Metacom. Black Elk. Alan Moore. Civ4. David Berman.
