When I was a little girl I thought I was Harriet the Spy and I kept a list of Things I Like/Things I Hate. I liked the bruise on my knee in the perfect shape of the Batman insignia but hated this fat girl who made fun of me for being a late-bloomer. These days I like listening to my ipod on the crosstown bus, shopping for Ottoman antiques in Ulus, chipping nail polish, wearing huge sunglasses all the time, my friends' artwork + music + filmmaking endeavors, sushi, making suprise mix CDs and airmailing them to friends, the Mediterranean, teaching and studying English grammar, being grateful, pinko-commie liberals, hot nerds (especially hot music nerds), art museums, vintage heels, dressing up in costumes, dance parties, San Francisco Chronicle crossword puzzles which my dad faithfully clips and mails to me, building forts from blankets & sofa cushions, languages, books on tape, weekend swap meets & garage sales, foreign travel, riding bikes, B&W photography...

I heart Veronica Mars, Heroes, America's Next Top Model, and the British show Footballer's Wives.
Mostly English grammar books and Turkish language books these days, but I especially like reading love letters
