Trevor White

After Ron & Russell Mael decided to disband SPARKS after a tour of USA in 1975 the English members Trevor White guitar, Ian Hampton bass and Dinky Diamond drums rehearsed for a week at ISLAND STUDIOS in St. Peters Square London with Adrian Fisher who was the lead guitarist on SPARKS' previous hit albums KIMONO MY HOUSE and PROPAGANDA. The result is these four songs recorded quickly at the end of the week and probably engineered by "Digger", Richard Digby Smith. They have not previously been available until now. Sadly since then Adrian has died of heart failure following a stage performance in his adopted home town in Ko-Samui, Thailand and Dinky took his life following a long period wrestling with depression and alcoholism after his departure from SPARKS. These tracks especially highlight their gifts. "I SEE THE LIGHT" has Trevor, Ian and Dinky sharing lead vocals, ADRIAN'S BOOGIE is a result of what Adrian loved to do "let's boogie" and "IF IT'S LOVE THAT YOU WANT " and "SHOT FROM A GUN" are two of Trevor's songs featuring himself on vocals. The tape was presented to ISLAND at the time but they decided not to pursue any further development of the project.Trevor has played with various bands THE A-JAES, JOOK, JET, SPARKS, RADIO STARS, THE FOUR SQUARES. He is also recording an album of original material to be titled MUSIC OF WHITE ORIGIN, this is being recorded with Kevin Hook engineering and co-producing.Trevor also played guitar with ANYTIME and recorded a version of "SILENT NIGHT". They were working on a second track "LA LA GIRL" until the project was put on hold pending vocalist Maye B deciding to continue, a rough rehearsal version is here to be heard.
