Tis Abay wurde in Bristol/England geboren und wuchs in Afrika, Arabien und den Vereinigten Staaten sowie später in Deutschland auf. Dort schloss er die Schule ab und absolvierte ein Informatikstudium an der Universität Dortmund. Heute lebt er in Köln und ist Bassist der Reggae Band KAYA aus Schwerte.

Tis Abay was born in Bristol/UK and grew up in Africa, the Middle East and the United States. Later, he came to Germany, where he finished school and graduated in computer science. Presently, he is living in Cologne/Germany and is the bass guitarist of KAYA , a reggae band based in Schwerte (near Dortmund).
