I am a small Scottish lassie called Lara. My user name is a corruption of the word "Scolopender" which means centipedes. I am dreadfully afraid of centipedes, but I really admire them at the same time, they exert a strange fascination for me. I speak German and French fluently which is useful as I teach languages. I love meeting new people and making friends, and can be seen out and about doing just that. You may have seen me on LJ where my name is Sadaku, in homage to Hideo Nakata's wonderful Ring series :) My interests are many and varied as you can see, so most people find some sort of common ground with me. However,those wildly opposite to me are also welcome to dip their toes in the lake of Me, because as my grandfather used to say "If everyone was the same, all the world would fancy your granny". Or something.
