_____I am of the Storm. I am of the Eye of the Storm. The Storm that envelops everyone and everything. The Storm that redefines and cleanses through violent destruction. I am of Storms past and their fruits. Take Warning. I contain the seeds of future Storms. These Storms may appear as many but in reality they are all one. The Storm has scattered me across space and time and in its wake It leaves nothing unchanged; not even myself. The storm has left me scarred as I've struggled to predict its path in order to maintain myself within its center. Only within the Eye of the Storm can I maintain my sanity and see the beauty in it's chaotic ways. As we drift together I encourage it to grow and try to influence its path. In it's center I am kept safe from its wrath and I become it's agent. Through me it's intention's are realized, deciphered and channeled into reflections of it's nature. ____________________________________________________________ _____ ____________________________________________________________ _____ _____Therefore, the compositions featured on this site must be of the Storm. An album intended as a tribute to the Surf genre while at the same time expanding on it. It explores the dark, dissonant and mysterious side of Surf music while maintaining Surf's dance-ability.______________________ ____________________________________________________________ _____ _____Recorded at Moon Mountain studio in Eugene, Oregon, U.S.A. during the spring of 2001 over the course of 15 hours over 3 days for $150 US, it consists of 9 original instrumentals and features myself as multi-instrumentalist playing Guitar, Drums, Bass, Keyboards and Samples, as well as all recording & mixing production. ____________________________________________________________ ____ ____________________________________________________________ _____ (Technical note: No click tracks were used during the making of this record. Instead, time was kept with a high-hat w/clip-on tambourine played & recorded on a separate channel while simultaneously playing and recording the guitar.
