Moth Vellum

About Me

Progrock is back with a vengeance. Continuing in the tradition of the great 70’s supergroups, Moth Vellum is bringing back sophisticated musicianship, epic compositions, intense dynamics and a symphonic rock sound. A far cry from today’s canned, looped and pitch-corrected music, this is substantive rock played by four dedicated musicians who are not afraid to release an album full of ten minute plus songs.
The band’s self-titled debut album features six equally strong pieces. The catchy and sometimes pop sounding vocal melodies are offset by driving, odd-metered drums, cascading keyboards and a fierce guitar that constantly sets fire to the music.
Starting with the relatively easy-to-digest opening track “Let The Race Begin” the record progressively demands more of the listener, peaking with a ferocious “Salvo” and an expansive “Walk It Off”, until finally offering relief with the reprise of “Against The Suns”.
