CLIP THE APEX [NEED DRUMMER]

[NEW SONGS SOON]

About Me

Hey, we are Clip The Apex, from Stockport (Within Manchester, UK).

HISTORY

The band was first formed when James Brett and Mark Gallagher wanted to play a High School leavers performance. As they needed a drummer, they asked Luke Torkington (who was a year younger) to help them out with their performance. Through this performance the 3 finally realised they had made something special and Clip The Apex was born.
The band wished to have another creative head as input to the songs, and Andrew Sidwell was brought in on Lead Guitar. Andy's stay was short led and he unfortunately left the band in late 2004.
Searching for a new Lead Guitarist, one of Luke's good friends: James Carr was a budding young guitarist. Noticing his talent, Luke called him up for an audition and he was instantly taken into C.T.A.
With James' influence on guitar, the band took a different direction influencing towards bands such as Senses Fail and Funeral For A Friend. This was reflected in the band's first demo 'Astronaughts and Crosses'.In early 2006 The Band went on to Later record the second Demo 'Thoughts Not Included' at the bands local Courtyard Studio in Stockport. The Demo Included tracks such as 'Every Word' and 'Heart Of Stone'.By the end of 2006, Lead Singer and Rhythm Guitarist Mark Gallagher sadly left the band due to other commitments in his life. Mark was a very influential and memorable character in Clip The Apex and as a founding member was surely missed.
After Mark left, the band decided to look for a new guitarist. This was found in the from of Andrew "Nelson" Carlson who to the band - was extremely gifted on guitar and was instantly taken into the CTA Family.
The final piece of the puzzle came in the form of Bob Foster whose vocal audition outshone the other applicants, with his ability to both sing melodically and scream. Thus brining about a change in the bands style, a style influenced by bands such as Killswitch Engage and Alexisonfire.
And so a new era of Clip the Apex has begun. We have 3 new songs currently up to give you all an idea of our new direction.
