I am a recovering addict named Kevin. I started drawing "Life in Recovery" in 2004 for our local area newsletter. The characters are based on my great friend Scott and myself. We have been through a lot together in recovery. As the "best man" at one of his weddings I offered to pull the fire alarm at the church so he wouldn't have to go through with it. He declined and eventually learned another important life lesson! Some of the cartoons are based on real life expieriences while others are just silly.I have been a member of Narcotics Anonymous since January 8, 1990 and while the language in the strips reflect that of NA (addicts, clean time, etc..)
