About Me

Hello, My name is Benjamin Bartosh. You can call me Ben. I started my music career in the fourth grade (Around the time I was big into Country Music, and Alan Jackson), with school chorus followed by the Alto Saxophone. I quit chorus soon after as i thought it was lame. Singing isn't something that can be taught; it's something you feel in your soul. If you sing well but have no emotion, what the hell are you doin? Feel that shit. I became a decent musician as a sax player, however I started to lose interest. So, because of this, my middle school instructor allowed me to play the Baritone Sax. That was the coolest instrument ever. Bassy, and sexy, I just couldn't get enough. After Middle school though, I was unable to continue playing due to a lack of my own BariSax, and the High School instructor being a huge toolbag. Instead, I went out and bought a bass guitar after hearing the driving bass parts on "Around the World," by the Chili Peppers. After playing for a year I joined up into a few bands that weren't very serious. None of them were my style, and I just didn't feel it. It wasn't until I found a band that played pop-punk music that I found a band worth playing in. Little did I know that my part in that band was playing the bass. This is when I decided to take up the guitar. Instead of being able to transition a second guitar into my then band, My Better Half, we split leaving me as a solo project. Since then I have been playing small shows, usually Open Mics. I have written a few songs that I am proud of, and will soon have enough for a full album. I cannot wait to get all of these tracks recorded. Keep an eye out for a bulletin stating that A new song is on my page, or check back every now and then to see if you've missed something.
