About Me

Welcome to the MySpace of Lyrical A.I. [Ahmed Ibrahim]. My musical journey began when I was 5 years old and Michael Jackson's "Thriller" album filtered through my ears, exhilarated my senses and placed me under an eternal musical spell. My love for music was firmly cast then and there. To me, MJ was the ultimate performer, showing me at a very early age the immense joy that music can bring to our lives. Twenty-four years down the track, I find that my love for music is stronger than ever as I attempt to develop a career in the music industry as a songwriter.
I began writing songs when I was 15, mainly exploring the chemistry of a song and testing to see if I had the talent to conjure up something of substance – something that would appeal to me and to other people. When I found that my experimentation with lyrics and vocal melodies was leading to something fruitful, I persisted with my newly discovered skill with the hope of taking it somewhere someday. I enjoy singing and all aspects of musical performance, but I've never really had the urge to bask in the glory of a spotlight with "all eyes on me." In fact, I find that prospect quite daunting. My dream has always been to work behind the scenes and to be involved with the creative aspect of writing a song. I want to write songs that other artists would want to record and perform for themselves. The ultimate experience for me is seeing a song that I have written or contributed to come to life through the spirit of another artist. This is what fuels me to write. It allows me to connect with other people in a special way – like a "musical spiritualism." I really enjoy collaborating with other artists, nurturing their musical vision and bringing my own ideas to life.
In essence, I think that through music & songwriting we can express our dreams and all that resides in our soul. It is a therapeutic indulgence which allows us to release our emotions as we strive for a greater sense of freedom. It speaks a language that eases all forms of suffering and continually attempts to remind us that human division does not need to exist – that is music’s biggest gift to us all and that is the reason why I do what I do.
