I have been writing my own songs and performing them in various bands since the age of 15.
My influences include David Bowie, Peter Gabriel, John Lennon, Blur, REM and Radiohead and I have always had a keen interest in recording. So I now produce my own songs in my own home studio in Hull 'The Cupboard' - I have just completed my first solo album, 'New Moon', which is now available. Mostly, I have recorded these songs myself, singing and playing all the instruments, but with Val Marshall on backing vocals and Dave Hughes on a percussion instrument called the 'doumbek' on a couple of tracks. I also have a duo with big bro Pete known as Cox Brothers, and we often perform around East Yorkshire at various festivals and on the open mic scene.
