Disillusion

As you can see... Much of the line up of top friends centers around a theme... Underground club music... Namely drum and bass. My involvement with this music happened pretty much like many of the other good things that have come in my life... by accident and to fill a void. As a lifelong resident of Northeast Baltimore City, the club scene was something I had a curiosity about... But as the soft spoken type who kept to myself, it wasn't a very good fit.... But then there was the night I wandered into a free drum and bass party... it was being held in a garage.. and there was all of about 10 people there... And yet, I knew I had landed upon something special.... Because this wasn't about the drinking (never been one to drink), it wasn't about your look, wasn't about your crowd, who you were with, or trying to "hook up" with..... None of that... this was about the music. Before I knew it, there were turntables and a mixer in the bedroom of my condo... because I had to be a part of this sound. These days, I have the priviledge of being involved with The Audio Infusion on 88.9FM here in Baltimore (worldwide at www.theaudioinfusion.com) and I am DJing at various drum and bass events as the opportunities arise... It has and hopefully will continue to lead to many unforgetable nights, venues, people, movement..... So something, that began by chance... (perhaps not an accident after all)has been quite a journey... every step of the journey being all about the music, and I suppose a lot of other things as well.
