Playing the Soundtrack of My Life!!!

About Me

37-year old Italian male who is well-educated and respectable to those can be respectable to others and themselves. I have managed to encounter many things in my life, including my music (www.myspace.com/garystevenhill) and have a lot to be thankful for. I managed to survive life's obstacles and manage to talk about it and even joke about it. I try to look at the positive aspects in life rather than concentrating on the negative and now how to rise to the occasion when things need be. I have been very lucky to have the friends that I have as we have been friends for more than 20 years. I have been grateful to manage to keep those relationships going and manage to add new and positive-minded people to my circle of friends. There's enough friendly love to go around, don't you think????

My Interests

I always seem to be happy with the simple things in life whether it be some light traveling or just kicking it back on a Sunday afternoon and enjoying a nice brewed cup of coffee. Richard and I recently came from a trip to Montreal and let me tell you, it was awesome. Looking forward to going back. As of this writing, we will be going for a helicopter ride in NYC as part of our 6-month celebration. He's the first guy to open my eyes to new and exciting adventures.

I'd like to meet:

Well, after meeting many people who were wrong for me including a two-year relationship with someone with severe OCD issues (is 4 showers a day enough???LOL), I can honestly say that I have found my soulmate. He's handsome, sweet, honest, and most of all, has the most good old fashioned values when it comes to treating people with respect and treating a relationship like a relationship. His name is Richard and we are now approaching the six-month mark. Eventually, I see a road that leads to marriage and most of all, I see a bright future ahead of us.I don't mind building on my circle of friends, heck, even a couple who are looking for other couple friends would be cool. Hey, I throw fabulous dinner parties and after a couple of glasses of wine, I'm also entertainment. If you are one of those crazy-minded queens who believes that because they have expensive material things, you are of substance - think again. One should account his accomplishments by the goodness he does for others and not by the material possessions he owns. If you're the kind of person who yells at a Starbucks lady because you didn't get your peppermint latte in like two minutes, chances are we will not be friends.

Music:

Billy Joel, Cyndi Lauper, Melissa Etheridge, Deborah (artist formerly known as "Debbie") Gibson, Prince, Madonna, Tiffany, Michael W. Smith, Harry Connick Jr., Elton John, Alexa Ray Joel, Jodelle, Patti LuPone, Rufus Wainwright, Martha Wainwright, Enrique Iglesias, Barenaked Ladies, Judy Garland and Sam Harris to name a few.

Movies:

Mostly into Indie films. Enjoy John Waters, Pedro Almodovar and other foreign films. Also don't mind some light fluff comedy to get my mind off of reality every now and then.

Television:

I like to watch classic tv shows but the latest I have been watching is "Ugly Betty." It's one of my favorites that is on tv these days.

Books:

I read a lot of biographies, just re-read Billy Joel's bio by Mark Bego. I also enjoy rock and roll history (ask me any question you like) and read a lot of non-fictional books on history.

Heroes:

Nowadays, competency turns me on as their is a lot of incompetent people.
