::VIDEO:: ::ABOUT JORDAN SEGUNDO:: Jordan Segundo achieved national recognition in the most popular television show of the year - "American Idol". Seventy-Five Thousand singers from across the nation auditioned in 2003 and Jordan was the First Singer from Hawaii selected as a Finalist in Season Two.Jordan's popularity has skyrocketed since his "American Idol" experience. He has performed for President Bush at a prestigious banquet in Hawaii, with Kenny Loggins at his CD release party, for the L.A. Lakers' games, with The Honolulu Symphony, in The Pro Bowl last year, in Matt Catingub's "Return to Romance" concerts and many more performances locally and on the mainland. In 2006, Jordan played a leading role of "Lun Tha" in The Hawaii Opera Theatre's production of "The King and I" with Richard Chamberlain as The King in six sold-out shows. He continues to perform throughout the nation and the Hawaiian islands in concerts and festivals. This handsome twenty-four year old singer has been featured on the covers of numerous magazines and publications. He has been interviewed on international television shows like "Balitang America" and "Probe Team" and national shows like "Stir T.V." and local shows such as "Emme's Island Moments and her Christmas Show", "American Idol" specials, "Dining Out with Chai", "Living Local With the Baraquios" and more. During "American Idol" season, Jordan does commentary on The KHON Morning Show. He has also appeared in commercials for "Subway", the Clean Water ad campaign and several PSA's. Jordan is the Spokesperson for Adult Friends for Youth and tours with the D.A.R.E. Program. He does inspirational speaking for students throughout Hawaii and encourages them to stay in school, stay away from drugs and to never give up in striving to reach for their goals. In recognition for his years of community service, Jordan received the prestigious Ola Pono Award in 2007. In early 2005, Jordan released his first full length CD that features ten songs in a variety of styles that is sure to please all ages. In 2007, Jordan and model/actress Yasmin Dar hosted a new televised dance competition called, "Destination: Groove Dance Hawaii" which premiered on KHNL-8 (NBC). The show featured some of Hawaii's hottest dancers in twelve episodes.
In early 2008, Jordan was the featured guest performer at the Jim Brickman concert in Hawaii. Jordan was also the only singer from Hawaii selected to participate in the number one TV show from the Philippines, “Wowowee” Live in Hawaii @ Aloha Stadium.
In 2009, Jordan was selected as the spokesperson for the new Storm Water Management Program supported by the Hawaii State Department of Transportation.
