Music, Reading, Movies and in case you didn't realise, I also value originality in Myspace profile responses, Art Deco and Pop Art, Britain, anything alt-country, Mop-Top haircuts, Anti-terrorism laws, Politics, etc.
I also love anything ironic, especially when it comes to the current pop-culture phenomenon that is "retro" clothing and music, which is all the rage at the moment. Now everyone can enjoy a slice of authentic 1980s culture and style, and reminisce about what it was like to grow up in that most nostalgia-inducing of decades, regardless of whether you were actually alive then or not. So thanks General Pants, Tsubi, and Modular Records, you guys are totally bitchin'.
1986 is back everyone, let's enjoy it while we can.
Cat Power, The Beatles, Joe Strummer, Beck, Andy Warhol, Rodney Mullen, J.D. Sallinger, L. Ron Hubbard, Emma Watson/Hermione Granger, Girls who like talking about the Beatles, Audrey Tautou

I'm heaps eclectic and shit, meaning I listen to dance, techno... oh, and electro. Actually, I'll listen to anything retro or new wave. Pretty much just take any genre of popular music created in the last 50 years, attach one of the following prefixes to the genre name; "faux", "indie", "post", "retro", (or preferably a combination of the four), cap it off with a healthy dose of kitsch and/or irony, and that's what I listen to. Because everyone knows music is done better nowadays.
Hence, I'm not into "pop", "dance" or "rock", but rather "indie-pop", "retro-rock", and my all time favourite - "post-faux-retro-electro-indie-dance", check it out, it's totally awesome.
When it comes to music, it's also good to remember that it's passe to judge a band on their actual musical ability or creativity, but rather by the number of cardigans, retro ties and/or vests worn by the members of the band at any given time.
Hence the Beatles score a 0, as illustrated in this picture (I don't know what they were thinking with those crazy jackets, they look ridiculous, lol), and Van She score an impressive 6, as you can see here .
I think they call it Postmodernism.
