(HOME!)*Family Trivia:My Dad ("J The DJ" from WHBI in NJ), was a friend and fan of the 60s Rock & Roll group RONNIE AND THE DEL-AIRESand he appeared (briefly) with them in this film made back in 1963...*The photos shown in the slideshow below were taken during my time spent in Durham North Carolina...There's enough about me to fill a book, so I'll summarize things into a brief synopsis format so as not to bore you to death with the details...I was born and raised in Coney Island, spent my childhood in the '70s collecting super-hero toys by Mego and DC comic-books... (*Remember these? They were my favorites as a kid and I STILL have 'em after all these years, bought from KORVETTES, MAYS, TWO-GUYS and/or ALEXANDERS back in the 70s!)
I attended P.S. 90, then George C. Tilyou JHS 303, followed by Lafayette High School 400 where I graduated in 1986 (*See photo)...
I then received my college credit via City-As-Schol Executive Internships in New York City.
I joined the U.S. Army Reserve where I trained at Ft. McClellan in Alabama and was schooled and stationed first at Ft. Gordon in Georgia, then back up to Floyd Bennet Field in Brooklyn.
Soon thereafter I began working for the Marvel Comics Group as an editorial assistant until 1991.In 1985 I had sold my first kung-fu movie on VHS and by 1989 began my part-time business known as Venom Video Ltd. offering fans and collectors (via conventions and mail-order) rare and unusual films not found in retail outlets. With the demise of VHS and the advent of DVD my little company was rechristened Venom Chamber Imports Distribution in 1999, now importing goods from S.E. Asia for resale here in the states.( > Below you can view a slideshow with OVER TWO HUNDRED of the titles I have distributed to fans and collectors everywhere! < )
In 1996 my mother passed away, my niece was born, and my father and I relocated to Charlottesville Virginia for two years. By the end of 1998 I returned to New York where I became a co-store manager for KB Toys at both their Lake Success and Great Neck locations in Nassau, followed by a 3 year stint in Bay Ridge Brooklyn.
During the spring of 2003, a series of unfortunate events led me to relocate myself yet again, this time to Durham North Carolina where I've spent 4 years employed as a frozen foods manager for the Kroger Food And Drug Company, a mid-Atlantic grocery retailer based out of Cincinatti.
My PERSONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS include these facts:I am disease and drug free... I do NOT smoke, I am NOT an alcoholic, I do NOT use illegal drugs or narcotics of any kind whatsoever, I do NOT gamble, I have NO piercings or tattoos, I am NOT in any clique, gang or mob NOR am I a racketeer, I am NOT an ex-con, I am NOT a child molester/pedophile or some weirdo stalker, I have NO mental illness and I am NOT some whacko nutjob, so I do NOT have to see a shrink due to any psychotic issues!I do not drive, nor do I plan to. In my view, an automobile is a high-maintenence financial burden...
a) I do not wish to sink thousands of my hard-earned dollars into buying it or making payments on it, paying taxes on it, paying insurance on it, filling it up with gas at $3 bucks or more a gallon, or having to pay outrageous tolls.
b) I do not want to add to the global warming problem.c) I do not want to depend on Arab oil.d) I do not have the time or patience trying to find parking spaces for it, or taking it in for a tune-up, or waste a day at DMV renewing my licence, nor do I intend to worry about somebody breaking into or stealing it.e) I do not want to be in an accident caused by some reckless youth, drunk driver or irresponsible motorist and pulled from the charred wreckage all twisted and mangled or in bits and pieces.I would just rather swipe my MetroCard and ride the subway! Finally, after many wasted years in and out of bad relationships with several deceitful, manipulative and treacherous women, I am most fortunate to have found my true love at long last!
Over the passed few months, I have met and become increasingly involved with a woman who mirrors many of my own characteristics and desires on a rival site called MY YEARBOOK. She is gentle and kind, posessing high standards of honesty and integrity as well as retaining a youthful charm that I've never encountered before. She is sincere and intent upon everything she says or does. She is warm, caring, sympathetic, and the most loving woman I have ever had the priviledge of knowing.
She graces me with her presence, and soothes me with her voice. Above all, she accepts me for who I am and doesn't intend to change me nor does she seek to abuse or take advantage of our relationship in any way, unlike several of those who came before her. Upon spending several hours with her daily, both on the internet and in person, learning everything there is to know about each other, I have since grown to love her just as much as she has grown to love me! We are the perfect couple, sharing many of the same ideas, morals and values. As I said previously, she mirrors many of my own traits and I tend to think of her as a female version of myself!
I Love You Dawn, long may we reign!
