The Pro started out as a project five years ago and has come a long way since. In 2008 the band landed an opening spot in Porão do Rock (BrasÃlia's biggest rock festival) by popular vote, and were invited to the festival in 2009 as headliners.
"Tudo Bem" is played almost daily on Cultura FM radio, and crowds sing it in chorus at every show - some say it is the next best thing coming out of Brasilia's independent rock scene. "Todos Juntos" is making its way alongside it, and has been remixed by several DJs. The band has also appeared on MTV and on Tramavirtual.
The Pro released a second EP in 2009 featuring electronic beats that were missing from earlier work, followed by the third EP in 2010, entitled "Cowbell Edition". In March of this year The Pro opened for Franz Ferdinand in BrasÃlia, one of the four stops on their Brazilian tour. The band is now recording their first full-length album.
The Pro é uma das revelações do novÃssimo rock independente de BrasÃlia e traz para a cena musical um sotaque moderno e personalidade própria. O conjunto é formado por Zé (voz e guitarra), Pil Mequetrefe (guitarra), Bernardo (baixo) e Guigo (bateria).
